Dr. Chad Personett

Optometrist

Dr. Personett was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and has been with Clear Vision Optometry since 2000. Dr. Personett’s education includes two bachelor degrees, one in molecular biology from Grove Cite College and one in Vision Science from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, as well as a Doctorate of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Personett arrived in Fairbanks with his wife Colleen, also an Optometric physician, in 1999. Outdoor activities that Dr. Personett enjoys include hunting, fly-fishing, backpacking, skiing, mountain biking and running. While not on the go in the outdoors, he also enjoys church fellowship, reading, and playing the guitar.

Dr. Matthew Riley

Optometrist

Dr. Matthew Riley received his B.A. from Northern Arizona University and his degree of Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2003. He has been a Fairbanks resident for the past 6 years, enjoying outdoor activities with his wife, Brenda, and their three kids: Tony, Jacob, and Saffie. Dr. Riley loves all outdoor sports, including snowboarding, biking and cross-country skiing. He fell in love with surfing while in California and also enjoys art, music, and playing his guitar. Annette, Dr. Riley’s long-time assistant and Optometric Technician says that Dr. Riley’s patients love visiting with him. He takes pride in his patient care and attends many continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Riley enjoys the close-knit Fairbanks lifestyle and looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.

Dr. Colleen Personett

Optometrist

Dr. Colleen Personett grew up in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. She studied at Pennsylvania State University before completing her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. As a recipient of the Health Professionals Scholarship, Dr. Colleen was then stationed at Fort Wainwright where she moved in 1999 with her husband, Chad, also a Doctor of Optometry. Upon completing her military assignment, Dr. Colleen joined West Valley Vision Center and has been practicing there since 2003. She is now excited to be working at Clear Vision Optometry where her husband has been practicing since 2000. Dr. Colleen enjoys her time in Alaska – running, skiing, and exploring the outdoors with her kids. She and Dr. Chad are thrilled to be working together and Dr. Colleen looks forward to being part of our Clear Vision family!
